Terms of Service

Last updated 13 June 2026

These terms are between you and Geekly Group Pty Ltd (ABN 59 668 967 815), trading as Geekly, of 37 Williamson Street, Bendigo VIC 3550. They have two parts: how you may use our website, and the terms that apply when we assess and repair your device.

Using our website

By using geekly.com.au you agree to these website terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Geekly is an independent repair business. We are not an authorised service provider for, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by, Apple, Samsung, Google or any other manufacturer. Names such as iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, MacBook, Samsung and Galaxy, and any other product names and logos, are the trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to describe the devices we service.

You agree to use the site lawfully and not to misuse it. This includes not attempting to gain unauthorised access, not scraping or copying it for commercial use, and not interfering with its operation or security.

We try to keep the information on our site accurate and current. Prices, turnaround times and availability shown on the site are a guide only, can change without notice, and are not a binding quote. The price for your repair is confirmed after we assess your device. If an obvious error appears in a price or description, we are not bound by it.

The content, design, logos and wordmarks on this site, other than third-party trademarks, are owned by or licensed to Geekly and may not be copied or reused without our permission.

Our site may link to other websites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

The site is provided on an as-is basis. To the extent permitted by law, and subject to the consumer guarantees described below, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site.

Repairs: how these terms apply

The terms below apply when you ask us to assess, repair or service a device or computer. By leaving a device with us or authorising work, you agree to them.

Assessment, diagnostic fee and quotes

We assess your device before carrying out any repair. A diagnostic fee applies, which varies from $95 to $195 depending on the device type and the complexity of the assessment. If you go ahead with the repair, that fee is credited toward the cost of the repair. If you choose not to proceed, the diagnostic fee is non-refundable, as it covers our technician's assessment time.

Our quote is based on the fault you describe and what we find on assessment. If we discover additional faults, or the work needed changes, we will contact you for approval before carrying out any further chargeable work.

Your authorisation

By leaving your device with us, you confirm that you are the owner or are authorised to approve the repair, and you authorise us to carry out the diagnosis and repair. This includes powering on the device, fitting parts, and updating or reinstalling software where needed to complete and test the repair.

Passcodes, accounts and device locks

To repair and test your device we may need your passcode or PIN. You are responsible for disabling any anti-theft or activation locks before your repair, for example Find My iPhone, Activation Lock, or a Google or Samsung account lock, or for providing the details needed to do so. We cannot complete or test some repairs while these locks are active.

Back up your data

Repairs can result in the loss of data, including a complete loss in some cases. You are responsible for backing up your data before you give us your device. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for any loss of, or damage to, data, apps, accounts or settings on your device. Where a repair requires it, you authorise us to access, move or reinstall data and software as needed.

Parts we use

We are an independent, third-party repairer. We use manufacturer-genuine parts where they are available to us, and otherwise we fit only high-quality parts that meet our standard. Because we stand behind the quality of our parts and our workmanship, we offer a one-year warranty on every repair, rather than the three-month warranty common among many third-party repairers. Replaced parts may be retained, recycled or disposed of by us unless you ask for them back at the time of booking.

Pricing and payment

Prices quoted to you include GST. Payment is due in full when you collect your device, and your device is released once payment is received. We accept all major payment methods, including card and EFTPOS, cash, bank transfer and buy-now-pay-later such as Afterpay. Where a repair requires us to order in special or non-stocked parts, we may ask for a deposit before we place the order.

Our one-year warranty

We warrant the parts we supply and our workmanship for twelve (12) months from the date you collect your device. If the same repair fails because of a faulty part we supplied or our workmanship, we will repair it again, or otherwise make it right, at no charge.

This warranty does not cover:

  • new or further accidental, physical or liquid damage that happens after the repair;
  • faults unrelated to the work we carried out, or pre-existing faults in other parts of the device;
  • damage caused by you or a third party opening, tampering with or further working on the device after our repair;
  • software issues, data loss, or normal wear of consumable parts such as batteries beyond their expected life; and
  • devices where our tamper or warranty seal has been removed or broken.

This warranty is in addition to, and does not take away from, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. The following text is required by law and applies to the goods and services we supply:

To make a warranty claim, contact us on 0421 206 766 or at hello@geekly.com.au, or bring your device to us at 37 Williamson Street, Bendigo, with your receipt or repair reference.

Liquid and physically damaged devices

Liquid and severely physically damaged devices can have hidden or progressive faults. Where we work on a liquid-damaged device, we do so on a best-efforts basis. We cannot guarantee that the device can be repaired or that it will keep working, and repairs to liquid-damaged devices may carry a limited warranty or no warranty. We will explain this to you before we begin.

Risk and liability

We take reasonable care of your device while it is with us. To the extent permitted by law, and subject to the consumer guarantees below, we are not liable for pre-existing faults or damage, for faults that become apparent only once a device is opened or powered on, for data loss, or for indirect or consequential loss. Devices are left with us at the owner's risk, and we recommend you maintain your own insurance for valuable devices.

Uncollected devices

We will let you know when your device is ready to collect. If your device is not collected within ninety (90) days of that notice, we will treat it as uncollected goods. We may then dispose of or sell the device to recover unpaid charges, following the process required by the Disposal of Uncollected Goods Act 1961 (Vic).

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where we are entitled to do so, our liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee is limited to resupplying the service or paying the cost of having it resupplied, or repairing or replacing the goods.

Cancellations

If you cancel a repair after we have ordered special parts or started work, we may charge for parts already ordered and work already done. Your consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law still apply.

Privacy

We handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and you submit to the courts of that State.

Changes to these terms and contact

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on our website applies to new bookings. If you have any questions, contact us at 37 Williamson Street, Bendigo VIC 3550, on 0421 206 766, or at hello@geekly.com.au.
